End of WW1 Commemoration 2018
All the hard work of the last twelve months finally comes together.
The Development Trust along with the history Society and countless members of the community have put together a fitting tribute to all those from our community who fell in the great war.
Thousand of individually knitted and crotched poppies were made and attached to nets to adorn the four memorials in our village ( Cenotaph, Church, Chapel, and Colliery offices. ( The Pictures below show one of the many hundreds of crocheted poppies that made up the finished nets and the completed poppy net that adorned the Cenotaph in Wales square)
