Colliery War Memorial

In 2014 to mark the centenary of the outbreak of World War 1 we secured funding to re-furbish the War memorial that is adjoined to our building. This memorial was erected by the mining company in approx 1921 to pay tribute the men who worked at Kiveton Colliery and who had signed up to serve, but unfortuanetly fell in combat.

We employed a specialist memorial restorer to carry out the painstaking work and the end results were magnificent.

A special service was the held on the 10th Oct 2014 to re-dedicate the memorial.
